House Oversight & Government Reform Committee Hearing with James Comey, Director of FBI

Instead of working on my latest book this afternoon I decided to listen in on the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee Hearing with Direction of the FBI. It was long and a bit tiring at times, but I stuck it out. What I found out was astounding and contrary to what the media had been sending out in snippets.

James Comey is a good and just man in my opinion.

I don’t like Hilary Clinton just as much as anyone else with my beliefs, background and experience in life. Obviously I don’t want to see her as the next President Of The United States, but what the media is doing is wrong.

The Director of the FBI lays it out clearly in the hearing that his job was to figure out if there was criminal intent. He said on multiple occasions that she had mishandled classified documents and information and she should have some sort of punishment on that issue, but that’s not the job of the FBI. The FBI was charged with conducting an investigation of criminal intent. Intent is very difficult to prove and without actual evidence or a confession, it’s nearly impossible.

Snowden and all the other cases before Clinton had a very distinguished difference, they all willfully exposed classified/secret information to the public or people who did not have authorization. This wasn’t something that Hilary did. Did she destroy emails? You betcha. Did she mishandle classified and secret information/documents? Yes. That doesn’t prove criminal intent.

It’s not good what she did. James Comey clearly stated this point over and over again in the hearing. It’s important to understand that the FBI wasn’t in charge of that aspect, only the criminal intent.

Director Comey, you’ve redeemed yourself in my eyes after seeing that hearing. Your integrity is intact with me and I’ll be praying for you and your family.

The point of this post is to help people see that sometimes the snippets we see through social media and news outlets aren’t always the full truth. We have to investigate the full story and pray for God to help us understand what’s really going on. It’s only when we go to God and and ask for His divine wisdom that will not only see truth, but have peace over it.
