I had to wait to read this until I had a whole day so I wouldn’t have to stop reading. I had to find out what happened. Kind of left me hanging though. Not sure if they’ll be book 4 to tell what goes on next.I hope so. I like how the book switches between characters. Adds more insight into them. Keep the books coming!

Jax Martinez, from WIN Bodyguard Agency, has been assigned to protect Chelsea, a youth group leader at the Church on the Lake. She is going to Guadalajara, Mexico with the youth group on a mission trip. This is something she has wanted all of her life. Jax and Chelsea didn’t plan to become attracted to each other…it just happened. When Chelsea was abducted by drug lords, Jax turned heaven and earth over to find her…but will he be too late? Before you start reading this book, set aside two things…time, because you won’t want to put this book down once you start it and tissues…you are going to need them. This is the third book in the Protected by Loved series and although I have read all of them, this is by far my favorite. (Okay, I have said that about all of them, but this one is my favorite). They just keep getting better. This book was not what I expected, but it fed my need for intrigue, suspense and a little romance, but more importantly it filled my heart with God’s grace and His redeeming love. I loved the end of the book. Although this is a difficult subject, Mr. Chapin developed the storyline and characters well. He captures your heart; mind and soul from the very first page and as the unfolding of events keep you captivated.Disclaimer: I purchased my book from Amazon. I was not required to give a favorable review only an honest review, nor was I compensated for my review. All thoughts and comments in this review are my own.

I loved this story. It was heart warming although filled with trials. The story lines hits home when it addresses domestic violence and how it impacs families physically and emotionally long-term. The healing process is truly like grief which few people understand. Thank you for addressing this topic. As always, well crafted characters that draw you into the story. I really loved the gun toting aunts. Full of laughter, redemption and tears.

I could not put this book down. It was riveting until the last page. He knows how to write about hope and the goodness of God to overcome all evil.

This one was almost more realistic than I wanted. But the main lesson is that only God can truly protect us in this world and sometimes He allows things in life that are not pleasant, but He protects us even through those difficult times. The world is a sinful place and human nature is sinful; how wonderful it will be when Christians are taken out of the world to spend eternity with Him. This is a wonderful book, as we are accustomed to getting from Mr. Chapin. Good Christian principals, good examples of what God can do in our lives when we rely on Him, good lessons about life for missionaries in unsettled locations, wonderful, realistic characters learning to trust God with everything. It is a wake-up call to pray for missionaries and others we know who are struggling spiritually.

She’s a young woman working on a mission trip. He is her protector. It was a good read, she got caught up with a bad crowd who wanted revenge for embarrassment foisted on him. Healing will take time.
