Valentine’s Day Bible Quotes

Valentine’s day Bible quotes inspire us to love on a deeper level. There are plenty of romantic Bible verses to meditate on during the season of love.

Here are my favorite Valentine’s Day Bible Quotes, hand-picked for your enjoyment.

Romantic Bible Verses

Romance is all throughout the Scriptures, here’s a few that are not only Valentine’s Bible quotes but meaningful Bible verses that are uplifting to the soul of any Christian.

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” 1 John 4:11

A beautiful command from God’s Word that inspires us to love one another, not because they deserve love, but because God so loved us!

As Christians, it can be extremely difficult to keep trusting God during difficulties or hardship. Sometimes we can’t see God’s love anywhere in our lives.

It’s during these trying times that we must focus on God in order to help us understand how much He truly loves us.

As we abide in God’s love, we in turn love others.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

This is one of my favorite Valentine’s day Bible quotes from the list.

If you don’t already know, the entire chapter of 1 Corinthians 13 is all about love!

Love is the binding agent in our lives.

It connects us to God and it connects us to other people.

Having the right Christian attitude when it comes to love sets us up for success as Christians.

If you’re wanting to learn more about living a life full of love, I suggest doing a study on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

Through studying God’s word that we can grow in faith, in hope, and in love.

It’s through this act that we can not only love like Jesus but live like Jesus too every single day of our lives.

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8

God’s love is so deep for us that it took Him to the Cross of Calvary.

That love He extended to us needs to be extended to others.

I’m not just talking about friends and family, but to strangers on the street and the rude cashier at the register.

God’s love covered our sin and when we love others deeply, that same love covers a multitude of sins.

This requires us to have a deep connection to God and requires us to be living by faith and not by sight.

This kind of love comes from God alone working inside and through us.

What helps us grow in this love? Bible reading and prayer are two of the things every Christian should do to cultivate a deep love for God and others.

“Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.” Proverbs 10:12

Hatred only creates problems and conflict in our lives.

We already know God is in control and we know that He desires us to live and abide in love.

Looking at those who do us wrong with loving eyes and using a loving tone will bless them and our lives in ways we cannot imagine.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:8

Another favorite Valentine’s Day Bible quote of mine.

A person is only able to truly love another person when they are born of God.

It’s from God that love comes and it’s by God we deliver that love to one another.

A meaningful Bible verse about the importance of love in the life of every Christian.

Bible Verses About Love

“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” 2 Corinthians 5:14

Jesus paid the price for our salvation and it’s this awesome love of God that moves us and compels us to action.

I find it extremely helpful from time to time to meditate on the Cross of Calvary and the price that Jesus paid for my sins.

When we focus on His sacrifice and His payment for our sins, it cultivates humility and thankfulness at the same time it roots out the pride from our hearts.

As pride is removed from our hearts, we have room for the true love of God to live inside and through us.

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

We live in a culture of fear and it’s through this fear that people are enslaved to the Devil and his traps.

We must remember as Christians that there is no fear in love!

We have nothing to fear when we realize God is for us and loves us.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30

This Valentine’s day Bible quote is focused on our love for God and it’s crucial as Christians we remember this passage at all times.

Our love for God should be all encompassing.

Every part of our thinking, every part of our lives, every part of everything we do must be for God and for His glory.

This can be a hard concept to nail down, but as you grow in your faith and walk with Christ, you will understand more.

If you struggle with it, I encourage you to ask God for wisdom and help.

“Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.” Jude 1:2

Mercy, peace, and love are all things we desire in life.

It’s through God’s mercy, peace, and love that we are able to live abundantly.

I’m not talking about financial abundance, but instead, spiritual abundance.

God is the provider of all and it’s all for us if we go to Him.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?” Romans 8:35

A comforting Valentine’s day Bible quote to end this list of quotes.

It should warm your soul to know that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.

No matter what difficult situation is going on in our lives, we can trust God has our back and He’s not going to let us go from His eternal hold.

God’s love is vast and deep.

His Word is His love letter for mankind.

It’s through growing in our knowledge of Him and His love for us that we can grow as Christians.

I hope that you have enjoyed this list of Valentine’s day Bible quotes and I hope it blessed you as much as it did me in creating it.
