Kirk is a very interesting and inspiring person. I enjoyed reading about his life. The way he handled his trials is very inspiring. We should all take a lesson from him. This is a very good book. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Time changes people, time changes things. Jessica and Kirk were high school friends, Well, the word friends may be stretching it. Jessica had issues with Kirk, especially when she saw him kissing someone other than his girlfriend one day. After graduation, Jessica wants to get away from her hometown. Kirk talks her into letting him ride with her, saying he’s trying out for a professional hockey team.Fast forward five years. A LOT can happen in five years. Jessica has become the independent woman she wanted to be. Kirk’s hockey aspirations were just that…. aspirations. He ends up in law enforcement and then into private security. When the two run into each other in a local coffee shop, Jessica notices a change in Kirk. It’s a change that alerts her that all did not go well for him. And, as a result Kirk does his best to avoid Jessica as he doesn’t want to ‘relive’ the tragic memories of his journey. However, his job puts them together. As a reporter for a Christian magazine, Jessica needs protection. She has a stalker who proves to be dangerous. It’s up to WIN security to protect Jessica and Kirk is one of WIN’s best bodyguards.It’s interesting to see how forces of evil battle forces of good…. and how Jessica and Kirk are brought together as a result… What was it Joseph said? Kirk and Jessica both come from a broken past. Kirk is filled with guilt and Jessica is not interested in any relationship except her relationship with God. But God has plans for the two of them and this is the story of their journey together. This book not only holds romance but is a page-turner mystery. The characters are skillfully created and I fell in love with them. The spiritual emphasis is wonderfully woven into their story, encouraging and inspiring. You can never go wrong picking up a book by Mr. Chapin!I requested this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Good book! I enjoyed reading this book. I love how hope is woven through the ups and downs of life for the characters in this book. That hope comes from the Lord and I love how the characters lean on the Lord.

What a great book about second chances in love. A fictional story but can give you insight/inspiration on daily living. It has a HEA but sets up the story for the next book.
